This Disclaimer (the "Disclaimer") is published by Renzue Media("we", "us", "our"), the owner and operator of the website available at https://www.renzue.com (the "Site"). The Site is a news and discussion platform that publishes editorial content and provides interactive features through which visitors may post, share, and discuss content.
By accessing or using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Disclaimer. If you do not agree with any part of it, you should not use the Site. This Disclaimer should be read together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, which contain additional legally binding provisions about your use of the Site.
Nothing in this Disclaimer limits any right you may have under applicable law that cannot be limited or excluded by agreement. Where a provision of this Disclaimer is found to be unenforceable, it will be modified or severed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
Defined Terms
For the purposes of this Disclaimer, the following terms have the meanings given below:
- "Content" means all text, images, video, audio, graphics, data, files, code, and other material appearing on the Site, regardless of who created it.
- "Editorial Content" means Content that is created, commissioned, selected, or edited by us or by writers, editors, and contributors acting on our behalf, including news articles, analyses, opinion pieces, reviews, and feature stories.
- "User-Generated Content" or "UGC" means Content submitted, posted, uploaded, transmitted, or otherwise made available on the Site by visitors, registered users, commenters, and other third parties, including comments, community posts, discussion replies, and profile material. UGC does not include Editorial Content.
- "Third-Party Content" means Content originating from sources other than us, including UGC, syndicated material, embedded media, advertisements, and content reached through external links.
- "Applicable Law" means the laws of India, and, where you access the Site from outside India, the laws of the jurisdiction in which you access it, to the extent they apply.
1. General Information Only; No Professional Advice
1.1. All Content on the Site is provided for general information, education, and discussion purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional advice of any kind, and you should not treat it as such.
1.2. In particular, nothing on the Site constitutes, or should be relied upon as, legal advice, medical advice, health advice, financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, accounting advice, engineering advice, or any other form of professional advice. Where articles discuss legal developments, court proceedings, regulatory changes, health topics, financial markets, investments, tax policy, or similar subjects, they are journalistic summaries or commentary intended to inform public discussion, not guidance tailored to your circumstances.
1.3. Laws, regulations, medical understanding, and financial conditions change frequently and differ between jurisdictions. An article that was accurate when published may no longer reflect current law or best practice. Before acting on anything you read on the Site, you should consult a qualified professional who is licensed or competent in the relevant field and jurisdiction, such as an advocate or solicitor for legal matters, a registered medical practitioner for health matters, or a qualified financial adviser for investment matters.
1.4. Any action you take, or decision you make, based on Content on the Site is entirely at your own risk. We accept no responsibility for outcomes resulting from your reliance on general information published here. In an emergency, including a medical, legal, or safety emergency, you should contact the appropriate emergency services or a qualified professional immediately rather than relying on the Site.
1.5. The Site may contain glossaries, explainers, or simplified descriptions of complex subjects. These are necessarily simplified for readability and are not exhaustive treatments of the topics they describe.
2. News and Editorial Content; Corrections Policy
2.1. How our news is produced. Our Editorial Content is produced through a combination of original reporting, research from publicly available sources, official records and statements, press releases, wire reports, interviews, and, where stated, syndicated or licensed material. Our editorial team reviews material before publication, but given the volume and pace of news, publication may sometimes occur before every detail can be independently re-verified.
2.2. Possibility of errors. We make reasonable efforts to ensure that Editorial Content is accurate, fair, and balanced at the time of publication. However, news reporting is an inherently imperfect process: sources may be mistaken, official statements may later be revised, documents may be incomplete, translations may be imprecise, and breaking developments may overtake published facts. Consequently, we do not guarantee that Editorial Content is complete, current, or free of error, and you should verify important facts through independent or official sources before relying on them.
2.3. Corrections policy. When we become aware of a material factual error in Editorial Content, we will correct it in accordance with this policy:
(a) Assessment. Our editorial team will assess the reported error, consult the underlying sources, and determine whether a correction, clarification, or update is warranted. Minor typographical errors that do not affect meaning may be fixed silently; substantive errors will be addressed openly as described below.
(b) Issuing corrections. Material corrections will be made directly in the affected article. Where the error is significant, we will add a dated correction or clarification note to the article itself, stating what was wrong and what the correct information is. In the case of breaking-news articles that were overtaken by events, we will update the article with the latest verified information and note the update.
(c) Removal vs correction. As a matter of editorial policy, we prefer to correct the record rather than delete published articles, because the public has an interest in a continuous and transparent news record. We will remove an article only in exceptional circumstances, such as a court order, a legal requirement, or where continued publication would cause serious and unjustified harm.
(d) How to report an error. If you believe an article contains a factual error, you may contact us at contact@renzue.comwith the subject line "Correction Request". Please include the article title or URL, the specific statement you believe is wrong, the correct information, and any supporting evidence or sources. We aim to acknowledge correction requests within seven working days and to resolve them as promptly as the facts allow, though complex claims may take longer to verify.
(e) Right of reply. Any person or organisation that is the subject of significant criticism, allegation, or adverse comment in our Editorial Content may request a right of reply. We will consider such requests fairly and, where appropriate, publish a concise response from the affected party alongside or linked to the relevant article. Requests should be sent to editorial@renzue.com or contact@renzue.comwith the subject line "Right of Reply" and should identify the article, the passages concerned, and the response text proposed. We reserve editorial discretion over the length, placement, and wording of any published reply, and we may decline responses that are defamatory, unlawful, or unrelated to the matters raised.
2.4. Unverified and developing stories. Articles about ongoing events, investigations, court proceedings, or developing situations will be marked as developing stories where practicable. Information in such articles may change as new facts emerge. Headlines and summaries are necessarily condensed; you should read the full article for context and qualifications.
2.5. Anonymous and confidential sources. Where articles rely on sources who are not named, we have editorial reasons for granting anonymity, such as the safety of the source or the public interest in the information. The use of anonymous sources does not mean the underlying reporting is unverified; however, you should be aware that you cannot independently assess such sources.
3. User-Generated Content; Intermediary Status
3.1. UGC is the view of its author, not ours. Comments, community posts, discussion replies, and other User-Generated Content published on the Site reflect the opinions, claims, and viewpoints of the individual users who post them. Such content is not created, endorsed, approved, or verified by us, and it does not represent our views, the views of our editorial team, or the views of our contributors, unless we expressly state otherwise.
3.2. Intermediary status under Indian law.In respect of UGC, we act as an "intermediary" within the meaning of Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 ("IT Act"). Section 79 of the IT Act provides intermediaries with conditional protection ("safe harbour") from liability for third-party information, data, or communication links made available or hosted by them, provided the intermediary satisfies the statutory conditions. These conditions include, among others, that the intermediary does not initiate the transmission, select the receiver of the transmission, or select or modify the information contained in the transmission; that it observes the due-diligence requirements prescribed under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 ("IT Rules 2021"); and that it does not conspire in, abet, aid, or induce the commission of an unlawful act.
3.3. Actual knowledge and takedown. Following the Supreme Court of India's decision in Shreya Singhal v. Union of India(2015), which read down Section 79(3)(b) of the IT Act, "actual knowledge" of unlawful third-party content is understood to arise only through an order of a competent court or a notification or direction from the appropriate government or its authorised agency. Accordingly, our obligation to remove or disable access to specific UGC arises upon receipt of such a court order or government notification, and we will act expeditiously upon receiving either, in compliance with the IT Rules 2021. Private complaints, while taken seriously for moderation purposes (see paragraph 3.5), do not by themselves constitute "actual knowledge" for the purposes of Section 79.
3.4. Due diligence. In line with the IT Rules 2021, we publish and maintain Terms of Use and a Privacy Policy, designate a grievance officer whose details are set out in Section 14, operate a grievance-redressal mechanism, and take reasonable measures to remove or disable access to unlawful content when required. We also publish periodic compliance information where applicable. Our safe-harbour position depends on continued compliance with these obligations, and nothing in this Disclaimer should be read as a claim of immunity beyond what the law actually provides.
3.5. Moderation is discretionary and does not make us the author. We may, but are not obliged to, review, screen, edit, move, or remove UGC at our sole discretion, including content that violates our Terms of Use or community guidelines, is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, harassing, hateful, spam, or otherwise objectionable. The fact that we moderate, curate, or operate automated filtering tools does not make us the author, speaker, publisher, or endorser of UGC, and does not convert UGC into Editorial Content. Users remain solely responsible for the content they post and for any legal consequences arising from it, including under the IT Act, the Indian Penal Code 1860 / Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, the Copyright Act 1957, and any other Applicable Law.
3.6. No endorsement of user claims. Factual claims made in comments or community posts have not been verified by us. You should treat UGC with appropriate caution, verify claims independently, and not rely on them as established fact. If you believe any UGC is unlawful or violates our policies, you may report it through the reporting tools on the Site or by writing to our grievance officer at grievance@renzue.com; we will review reports in accordance with our policies and Applicable Law.
3.7. UGC and our own content are legally distinct. For the avoidance of doubt: Section 79 safe harbour applies to third-party content hosted by an intermediary. It does not shield us from responsibility for our own Editorial Content, which is subject to ordinary editorial and legal responsibility, including the law of defamation and applicable media regulations.
4. Views of Authors, Contributors, Guests, and Interviewees
4.1. Opinion articles, columns, guest posts, letters to the editor, interviews, podcasts, and video discussions published on the Site express the personal views of their respective authors, contributors, guests, or interviewees. They do not necessarily reflect our institutional position, editorial stance, or the views of our other writers.
4.2. We publish a diversity of viewpoints to foster public discussion. Publishing a viewpoint does not mean we agree with it, endorse it, or have independently verified every claim made within it. Contributors are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their own submissions, subject to our editorial review.
4.3. Interviewees speak for themselves. Statements made by persons interviewed or quoted in our articles, including public officials, experts, and private individuals, are attributable to those persons. We may paraphrase or edit interviews for clarity and length, but we do not put words in interviewees' mouths, and any errors in transcription will be corrected under the policy in Section 2.3.
5. External Links
5.1. The Site contains links to external websites, resources, documents, and services that are not owned, operated, or controlled by us ("External Links"). External Links are provided for convenience, context, and further reading.
5.2. We do not control the content, accuracy, legality, availability, or privacy practices of external websites. The inclusion of an External Link does not imply our endorsement of, affiliation with, or responsibility for the linked site, its operators, or its content. We do not review linked sites on an ongoing basis, and a link that was appropriate when published may later lead to changed, moved, or removed content.
5.3. You visit external websites at your own risk. We are not responsible for any loss, damage, malware infection, data compromise, or other harm arising from your use of or reliance on external websites. Before submitting personal information or conducting transactions on a linked site, you should review that site's own terms and privacy policy.
5.4. If you find an External Link on the Site that is broken, misleading, or leads to unlawful or harmful content, please notify us at contact@renzue.com so that we can review it.
6. Advertising and Sponsored Content
6.1. Third-party advertising. The Site may display advertisements served by us directly or through third-party advertising networks and exchanges. Advertisements are paid placements by third-party advertisers. We do not endorse, recommend, or guarantee any product, service, offer, or claim made in an advertisement, and we are not a party to any transaction between you and an advertiser.
6.2. Sponsored and branded content.Some articles, videos, or features may be sponsored by, or produced in commercial partnership with, third parties. Such content will be clearly labelled, for example as "Sponsored", "Paid Partnership", "Advertisement", or "In association with [brand]", in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the guidelines on misleading advertisements issued by the Central Consumer Protection Authority, and applicable advertising standards. Labelled sponsored content reflects the sponsor's message as presented; our editorial team exercises oversight to ensure labelling is clear, but the commercial claims within remain the advertiser's responsibility.
6.3. No responsibility for advertised products. We do not test, verify, or warrant advertised products or services. Any purchase, subscription, or engagement with an advertiser is solely between you and the advertiser, governed by the advertiser's own terms. You should exercise your own judgment, read the advertiser's terms, and, where appropriate, seek independent advice before buying. If you believe an advertisement on the Site is misleading, unlawful, or inappropriate, please report it to contact@renzue.com with details, and we will review the placement.
6.4. Affiliate links. Some articles may contain affiliate links, through which we may earn a commission if you make a purchase. Where affiliate links are used, we will disclose this in or near the relevant content. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial judgments, and the presence of an affiliate link is not an endorsement of the linked product beyond what the article itself states.
7. AI-Assisted Content
7.1. Some Content on the Site may be produced with the assistance of artificial-intelligence tools, for example in research, drafting, summarisation, transcription, translation, image generation, or data analysis. Where AI tools have materially contributed to an article, we will indicate this where practicable.
7.2. All AI-assisted Editorial Content is subject to human editorial review before publication. Nevertheless, AI systems can produce inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or outdated outputs, sometimes presented with unwarranted confidence. We do not guarantee that AI-assisted content is error-free, and the possibility of error described in Section 2.2 applies with particular force to such content.
7.3. AI-generated or AI-enhanced images and media used illustratively will be identified as such where practicable, so that readers do not mistake synthetic visuals for documentary photographs. We do not use AI-generated imagery to fabricate events, persons, or evidence in news reporting.
7.4. You should apply the same critical judgment to AI-assisted content as to any other content on the Site, verify important facts independently, and not rely on it for professional advice of the kind described in Section 1.
8. Timeliness and Archival Content
8.1. News is time-sensitive. Facts, figures, official positions, laws, and circumstances described in our articles reflect the situation as known at the time of publication (or the time stated within the article) and may have changed since. An article that was accurate when written may become incomplete or outdated as events develop.
8.2. Each article carries a publication date, and updated articles will generally show an update date or revision note. You should check these dates and consider whether more recent reporting or official sources supersede the article you are reading.
8.3. We maintain an archive of past articles as a matter of public record. Archival content is preserved in its original form except for corrections made under Section 2.3, and we do not routinely rewrite old articles to reflect later developments. Reading archival content as if it described the present day is at your own risk.
8.4. Statistics, rankings, prices, and other time-bound data appearing on the Site should be treated as snapshots. Where an article cites data from a third-party study or dataset, the methodology and date of that data are those of the original source, and we do not independently re-validate them after publication.
9. No Warranties
9.1. The Site and all Content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the maximum extent permitted by Applicable Law.
9.2. Without limiting paragraph 9.1, we do not warrant or represent that:
- the Site or any Content will be accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free;
- the Site will be continuously available, uninterrupted, timely, secure, or free of viruses, malware, or other harmful components;
- any defects in the Site will be corrected, or that the Site will be compatible with your device, browser, or software;
- any information, advice, or opinion obtained through the Site will meet your requirements or produce any particular result; or
- the Site's search, archive, notification, or interactive features will function without interruption or loss of data.
9.3. We may suspend, restrict, modify, or discontinue the Site or any part of it, temporarily or permanently, at any time and without prior notice, for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons. We will have no liability for any such suspension or discontinuation.
9.4. Any implied warranties that cannot be excluded under Applicable Law, including implied warranties arising from statute or course of dealing, are limited to the minimum scope and duration required by that law.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1. To the maximum extent permitted by Applicable Law, Renzue Media, its proprietor, officers, employees, contributors, agents, and service providers (collectively, "we" for the purposes of this Section) will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with:
- your access to, use of, or inability to access or use the Site or any Content;
- your reliance on any Content, including Editorial Content, UGC, Third-Party Content, advertisements, or External Links;
- any errors, omissions, inaccuracies, or outdated information in any Content;
- any conduct, content, or statements of users, contributors, advertisers, or other third parties on or through the Site;
- any unauthorised access to, alteration of, or loss of your transmissions, data, or account information; or
- any other matter relating to the Site.
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory asserted (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise), even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
10.2. Where liability cannot be excluded under Applicable Law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Site and this Disclaimer will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by that law. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Applicable Law, including:
- liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where such exclusion is prohibited;
- liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; and
- any other liability that the law of the applicable jurisdiction does not permit to be excluded or limited.
10.3. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or the limitation of certain damages. If you reside in such a jurisdiction, the exclusions and limitations in Sections 9 and 10 apply to you only to the extent permitted by the law of that jurisdiction, and your statutory rights as a consumer remain unaffected.
10.4. You acknowledge that the limitations in this Section are reasonable given the nature of the Site as a free-to-access information and discussion platform, and that you would not use the Site if these limitations did not apply.
11. Indemnification and User Responsibility
11.1. You are responsible for your own decisions, actions, and omissions in connection with your use of the Site. This includes responsibility for: (a) the UGC you post and its compliance with Applicable Law and our Terms of Use; (b) your reliance on any Content; and (c) any transactions or communications you enter into with advertisers, other users, or third parties through or as a result of the Site.
11.2. To the extent permitted by Applicable Law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Renzue Media, its proprietor, officers, employees, contributors, and agents from and against any claims, demands, losses, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) UGC you submit or post; (b) your violation of this Disclaimer, our Terms of Use, or Applicable Law; or (c) your infringement of the rights of any third party, including intellectual-property, privacy, and personality rights.
11.3. We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with our defence of such claims.
12. Forward-Looking Statements; Opinion vs Fact
12.1. Opinion vs fact. Content on the Site includes both factual reporting and opinion. Factual reporting describes events, statements, and data as best we can establish them; opinion expresses judgments, interpretations, predictions, and evaluations. Opinion pieces, editorials, columns, and reviews are labelled as such where practicable. You should not treat opinions, however strongly expressed, as established facts, and the presence of opinion content does not imply that the underlying facts have been independently adjudicated.
12.2. Forward-looking statements.Articles may contain statements about future events, trends, market movements, election outcomes, policy decisions, legal proceedings, or other matters that have not yet occurred ("forward-looking statements"). Such statements are inherently uncertain, are based on information and assumptions available at the time of writing, and may be affected by risks and events that cannot be predicted. Actual outcomes may differ materially. Forward-looking statements are not promises, guarantees, or advice, and you should not rely on them as predictions of what will happen.
12.3. No duty to update opinions. We have no obligation to update opinion content or forward-looking statements when circumstances change, though we may do so at our editorial discretion.
13. Jurisdiction-Specific Notes
13.1. Governing law. The Site is owned and operated from India. This Disclaimer, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Site or this Disclaimer, will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to Applicable Law, the courts located in Karnataka, India, will have exclusive jurisdiction over such disputes.
13.2. India-specific legal framework. Your use of the Site is subject to Indian law, including where relevant:
- (a) the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT Rules 2021, which govern intermediary liability, due diligence, grievance redressal, and content takedown, as described in Section 3;
- (b) the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023("DPDP Act") and the rules made under it, which govern the processing of digital personal data. Where we act as a "data fiduciary" in respect of your personal data, we process it in accordance with our Privacy Policy, on the basis of your free, specific, informed, unconditional, and unambiguous consent or another lawful ground recognised by the DPDP Act. You have rights under the DPDP Act, including the rights to access, correct, and erase your personal data, to nominate another person in the event of death or incapacity, and to seek grievance redressal, which you may exercise as described in our Privacy Policy;
- (c) the Copyright Act, 1957, which protects original literary, artistic, musical, and other works. Editorial Content on the Site is protected by copyright owned by us or our licensors. You may not reproduce, republish, or distribute it except as permitted by our Terms of Use or with our prior written consent. If you believe Content on the Site infringes your copyright, you may send a notice to contact@renzue.com identifying the work, the infringing material (with URLs), and your contact details, and we will address it in accordance with Applicable Law;
- (d) the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, including its provisions on misleading advertisements and e-commerce, which inform our approach to advertising disclosures in Section 6; and
- (e) the law of defamation and related civil and criminal provisions. Nothing in this Disclaimer authorises the publication of defamatory, obscene, hateful, or otherwise unlawful content, and users who post such content do so at their own legal risk.
13.3. Access from outside India. The Site is accessible globally, but it is operated under Indian law. Content that is lawful in India may be unlawful in the jurisdiction from which you access the Site, and vice versa. If you access the Site from outside India, you do so on your own initiative and you are responsible for compliance with the local laws of the place where you access it, including laws on defamation, hate speech, obscenity, data protection, and media regulation. We make no representation that the Site or its Content is appropriate or available for use in any particular jurisdiction outside India.
13.4. Foreign-law note (United States). Readers in the United States sometimes ask about Section 230 of the U.S. Communications Decency Act, which limits the liability of interactive computer services for third-party content under U.S. federal law. Because the Site is governed primarily by Indian law, Section 230 does not determine our legal position; the relevant Indian framework is Section 79 of the IT Act as described in Section 3. This note is for information only and does not create any right or obligation.
13.5. Regulatory and court orders. We will comply with lawful orders of Indian courts and competent Indian authorities, including orders to remove or disable access to content, issued in accordance with due process under the IT Act, the IT Rules 2021, and other Applicable Law. Where we are required by law to restrict access to content in a particular jurisdiction, we may apply geo-restrictions or remove the content globally as the order requires, without prior notice to users.
13.6. Language. This Disclaimer is drafted in English. Any translation provided is for convenience only, and the English version will prevail in the event of any inconsistency.
14. Changes to This Disclaimer; Contact
14.1. Changes.We may revise this Disclaimer from time to time to reflect changes in the Site, our practices, or Applicable Law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this document and, where appropriate, draw the changes to readers' attention on the Site. The revised Disclaimer will apply from its effective date. Your continued use of the Site after a revised Disclaimer takes effect constitutes your acceptance of it. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
14.2. Severability. If any provision of this Disclaimer is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, or severed, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
14.3. No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of this Disclaimer will not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce that provision or any other provision at a later time.
14.4. Entire understanding on this subject. This Disclaimer, together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, sets out our position on the matters it covers. In the event of any conflict between this Disclaimer and our Terms of Use on the same subject, the Terms of Use will prevail unless this Disclaimer expressly states otherwise.
